David Christian

David joined Stonemont in April 2018 as Assistant Controller and focuses on accounting, financial reporting, treasury management, and tax compliance at both the investment and corporate levels.  Shortly after joining Stonemont, David was tasked to manage the accounting for the company’s first $1B+ investment portfolio.  Since joining, David has overseen the accounting and financial management for many of Stonemont’s corporate entities, development projects, and operating assets.

Prior to Stonemont, David worked in State Street’s Real Estate Fund Services group.  While at State Street, David provided accounting services for closed-end and open-end real estate funds.  David’s responsibilities included preparing financial statements, financial forecasting models, investor-specific analysis requests, and regulatory filings for the SEC.  Before joining State Street, David worked in the audit practice at KPMG LLP and on the Financial Planning & Analysis team at Catlin Insurance.

David graduated from Emory University with a BBA concentrating in Finance and with a minor in French Studies.  David continued his studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he received a Master of Accounting degree.  Originally from New Orleans, David has resided in Atlanta since completing his graduate studies.
