Nathan Balmes
Senior Vice President, Senior Controller
As Senior Vice President and Senior Controller, Nathan oversees Stonemont Financial Group’s overall financial operations, including accounting, treasury, and finance functions. As a part of the senior leadership of the company he plays a lead role in the company’s operations and processes while maintaining relationships with investors and key stakeholders.
Prior to joining Stonemont, Nathan was Vice President at State Street Bank responsible for fund accounting operations for closed and open-ended institutional real estate funds. Prior to this he served as Vice President and Assistant Controller with JLL overseeing accounting operations for a portfolio of over 325 assets and over 30 diverse clients including regional investors, institutional and publicly traded REITs.
Nathan holds a Bachelor of Finance degree from University of Georgia and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of Georgia. He is active in his community and has served as treasurer for The Museum School Foundation.
