Stonemont, an Atlanta-based private real estate investment firm specializing in industrial development, acquisitions and net lease investments, has hired Arman Fashandi as vice president of corporate services, based out of Pittsburgh. Fashandi will work to expand Stonemont’s development footprint in the Northeast while also overseeing build-to-suit (BTS) initiatives and tenant relationships nationwide.

Fashandi has over 15 years of experience in ground-up real estate development and tenant management, having worked previously as senior development manager and senior transaction manager for Amazon and real estate project specialist for FedEx. Through these roles, Fashandi led BTS transactions across multiple regions in the U.S. and oversaw site selection, land and building acquisitions, land-use entitlements, permitting and construction oversight on large-scale development projects ranging from 1 million to 3.4 million square feet.

“Stonemont has built a strong reputation for delivering well positioned, strategic developments across the country, and I’m excited to join the team at a time of continued growth,” said Fashandi. “I’m particularly eager to build on the firm’s entrepreneurial culture and momentum in key growth markets. I look forward to strengthening tenant partnerships and delivering projects that create long-term value for both clients and communities.”

Fashandi will work with Executive Vice President Dusten Estes and Senior Vice President Sean McDonnell, who collectively oversee national corporate services and strategic growth initiatives. The hire reflects the company’s continued investment in new markets and its strategy of empowering experienced leaders to establish regional teams and drive long-term growth initiatives. The opening of the Pittsburgh office represents the 8th office opening for Stonemont with other offices located in Atlanta (HQ), Dallas, Charlotte, Tampa, Newark, Chicago and Cleveland.

“Arman brings a tremendous depth of experience managing complex development projects and cultivating relationships with a diverse range of users,” said Estes. “His leadership, market knowledge and proven ability to execute large-scale projects make him an important addition as we continue expanding our platform, growing our presence in strategic markets and strengthening our national corporate services capabilities.”

This year, Stonemont also hired Lindsay Kindlon as co-head of industrial real estate in its Chicago office and Corbin Stall as its Texas market lead and vice president. The firm’s national portfolio includes 17.2 million square feet of industrial assets and 40.9 million land square feet of industrial service facility (ISF) space delivered and under construction. In the Northeast region, current projects include the development of a 123,000-square-foot speculative industrial facility in Philadelphia; the development of a 10,000-square-foot ISF on Staten Island in New York; and the completion of a 300,000-square-foot industrial warehouse in Passaic, New Jersey.
